Tourism, Hospitality and Events Training Package

The SIT07 Tourism, Hospitality and Events Training Package is being reviewed as part of the continuous improvement process.
Phase 1: The Tourism Review
The Tourism Review is in the final stages. The Tourism Review Final Draft is in the final stages of development and will be released on the project website shortly.
Phase 2: The Hospitality Review
The Hospitality Review has commenced and is in the Project Scoping stage. The Hospitality Review Scoping Paper is in development and will be released on the project website shortly.

Sport, Fitness and Recreation Trainining Package

Corrections to SIS10 for a Version 1.3 ISC upgrade have now been completed.  It is expected SIS10 V1.3 will be released on training.gov.au by the end of October.  The modification history of the corrections made will  be posted on our website for stakeholders to access.

A full list of NSW RTO’s who attended the SIS10 Transition Workshop on the 2nd May in Sydney, has been provided to the new national regulator, ASQA,  to assist the process for training package transition rollover. RTO’s need to make sure they register to use ASQAnet to access the online application services.

Community Pharmacy – Draft 2 still available for comment
The draft 2 qualifications and units of competency are now available for stakeholder validation. A number of changes have been made to the qualifications to reflect the feedback received from stakeholders on draft 1 and we are now seeking stakeholder feedback to validate these changes. The closing date for feedback in Wednesday 21 September 2011.
In recent weeks the new National Skills Standards Council (NSSC, replacing the NQC) have made changes to the submission and endorsement process. This means that the Community Pharmacy Training Package will now be submitted in January 2012 for endorsement at the February 2012 meeting of the NSSC. Our new training package will be known as the SIP12 Community Pharmacy Training Package.

SIH11 Hairdressing Training Package Information Sessions
