The Workforce Futures program addressed key workforce development priorities for tourism and hospitality businesses. Through a national network of industry Skills Advisors, tourism and hospitality businesses underwent a comprehensive business analysis to identify workforce issues impacting on their performance.
Workforce Futures supported the development of 8 regional workforce development plans in designated “hot spots” across Australia. This was followed up with over 100 Skills Advisors supporting 2613 tourism and hospitality businesses to develop tailored enterprise workforce plans, concluding with providing access to targeted training for over 1,000 employees.
The final stage of the program is due to conclude on 30 June 2015.
